PRICE Pergo (laminate) or Hardwood?

I can install, sand and finish hardwood for about $6.50 a square foot, Pergo is about $4 - $4.50, for a 1000 foot area, that saves you about around not to bad. One thing to remember, hardwood is a PERMANANT floor, and pergo is somewhat temporary, I have seen hardwood floors that are 100 yrs old, and pergo may last 20-30?.

For repairs Pergo does have a great warranty. But from the installers standpoint, repairing a ding, or tear in your pergo floor is a nightmare, when compared to hard wood.

Winter is fast coming, and this is the time you may want to think about upgrading your flooring. How about Laminate floors before Christmas?

It is a great idea to make your home look great by adding laminate (Pergo or other brands of laminate). Also with winter upon us, laminate can often be found at cheaper prices as building slows down.
